Almost There!

After three weeks of working hard, the set for Alice is almost completely up and ready! It took getting completely covered in green gluey paint, learning to weld and then re-weld, and seriously bustin' butt for 6 hours a day but the set looks great. Seriously, it's hard to believe that so much work has been done in so little time: three massive portals, a raked stage, a humongous drop, and modification to the front of the stage to name some of things I have worked on/seen done.  The more I work on the set and the more I see getting done, the more excited I get for the actors and audience to experience this design. It is going to be fun. Simple enough.

This is one of the greatest things about working at Endstation, beside taking over Wing and Things for karaoke night and massive amounts of food at Prothro. As an intern I am able to see the transformation from a bare stage to a wonderland(Get it? Wonderland! Haahahaahaa) and help the process along. Sure this means that everyday is a lot of work, but it's fun work because of the people I'm with and the projects I'm doing.

But it can be hard work, which is why I'm going to pass out in my bed and sleep like a baby.

Tootles!

The raked part plus some of the portals

The leafy show portal that took many, many hours and gallons of paint to complete
